Sri Lanka China Business Council
The Sri Lanka – China Business Council established in 2001. This was the 23rd Business Council to be formed under the aegis of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.The Council was formed at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With the main objective of promoting trade, investment, services and tourism between Sri Lanka and China.
Indo Lanka Chamber of Commerce & Industry
Indo-Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ISCCI) is a non-profit organisation bilateral chamber. Which establishes trade connections and economic activities between India and Sri Lanka. It has been started by Industry leaders and visionaries to help entrepreneurs and business community of India and Sri Lanka in establishing bilateral business relations.
Council for Business with Britain
The Council for Business with Britain (CBB) describes itself as a “non-political, not-for-profit organization, democratically accountable to individual businesses of all sizes”. The main aim stated is to promote “two way trade between Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom”. It is located at The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Colombo 02, which also provides secretarial services to CBB.
The European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka
The European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka known as the ECCSL was founded in 1996. It’s Primary objective is to stimulate, strengthen and promote economic and business relations between Sri Lanka and the 27 member union countries of the European Union (EU).
Sri Lanka International Chamber of Commerce
The International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (ICCSL) is the domestic chapter of Paris based international world business organisation, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). The international organisation has, over the years, expanded its roots in 130 countries with a membership drive of over 6.5 million.
Trade Facilitation, Export & Import and Cross Border Issues pertaining to Goods Transport are some of the areas addressed by the ICC. Recently our parent body ICC was accorded a permanent seat as an observer of the UN the first time a private-sector organisation has received such an honour.
Sri Lanka Pakistan Business Council
The Sri Lanka Pakistan Business Council was established in 2005 by fourteen of the country’s leading Corporates and Business Groups as an advocacy forum to improve the general business environment of the country, establishing bilateral business relations.
Sri Lanka Business Council of Japan
Sri Lanka Business Council of Japan (SLBCJ) is formed in line with the policy directions given by the Overseas Business Promotion Program launched by the Ministry of Commerce & Consumer Affairs of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lanka Business Council of Japan is a non-profit and voluntary organisation working with the Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan.
Their prime objective is to develop, expand and encourage bilateral trade between Sri Lanka and Japan.
Sri Lanka Korea Economic Cooperation Committee
In 1982, the Minister of Trade and Shipping, visited South Korea with a business delegation.
Thus he created the formation of a Joint Economic Co-operation Committee between Sri Lanka and South Korea under the support of the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Council
The Sri Lanka – Malaysia Business Council was inaugurated on February 23, 1994. With the support of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. At the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka. The main objective of this Council is to promote joint ventures in trade, tourism and services between Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
Sri Lanka USA Business Council
USA is an important trading partner for Sri Lanka with exports to America reaching USD 3.08 billion and USD 645.39 million imports coming into the country in 2018 from the US.
Sri Lanka German Business Council
The proposal made by the Deputy Ambassador for Germany in Sri Lanka resulted in the formation of Sri Lanka – Germany Business Council. The Council continues to develop new initiatives and areas of corporation between business communities of the two countries. With the exchange of trade missions, delegations, new investments and joint ventures.
Sri Lanka Russia Business Council
The Sri Lanka-Russia Business Council was inaugurated in 2001. The initiative of the then Russian Ambassador in Sri Lanka and then Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. With a primary objective to function as a promoter and facilitator of bilateral trade, investments and tourism between Sri Lanka and the Russian Federation. Particularly to promote exports to Russia.

Sri Lanka Maldives Business Council
The Sri Lanka – Maldives Bilateral Business Council, the 19th Bilateral Business Council under the aegis of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce was launched on 25th May, 2007.
The need to establish the Business Council is originated following a recommendation made at the Sri Lanka – Maldives Joint Commission held in 2006.
Singapore Sri Lanka Business Association
To promote a forum for business interest between Singapore and Sri Lanka. The main objective of this Council is to promote joint ventures in trade, tourism and services between Sri Lanka and Singapore.
Sri Lanka Italy Business Council
Inaugurated under the aegis of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce on 9 October 1998, the main objective of the Sri Lanka – Italy Business Council is to promote investment, trade and joint venture between Sri Lanka and Italy.
The Sri Lanka – Italy Business Council continues to collaborate with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in achieving the objective of strengthening bilateral ties and promoting investment and joint venture partnerships.

Sri Lanka Canada Business Council
The Sri Lanka – Canada Business Council was inaugurated on August 14, 1991 and functions under the aegis of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
The SLCBC serves a membership of over fifty companies. Its primary objectives are to promote investment and bilateral trade, to exchange trade and investment information with relevant institutions in Canada, to encourage the setting up of joint ventures and to serve as a recognised representative of business sector interests in Sri Lanka in matters concerning business relationship with Canada.
Sri Lanka Greater Mekong Business Council
The Sri Lanka – Greater Mekong Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (formerly known as Sri Lanka – Greater Mekong Subregion Business Council and Sri Lanka – Vietnam Business Council) was inaugurated on 8th June, 2010.
The main objective of the Business Council is the further expansion of trade, investment and tourism between Sri Lanka and the Greater Mekong: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. The Sri Lanka – Greater Mekong Business Council functions through a group of Businessmen in Sri Lanka. The Council also maintains a close relationship with the diplomatic missions of the Greater Mekong in Sri Lanka.

In 2008, both Heads of States discussed the implementation of new air links in hope of increasing trade, investment and stronger cultural links. Sri Lanka’s current investments have been in Bangladesh’s garment and banking sector and expect to diversify into different areas.
